Before we cancel your alarm permit, we want to make sure that you are aware of the Bylaw regulations. Under the Alarm Bylaw, the Regional District of Central Okanagan Alarm Bylaw No. 1382, it does not matter if your alarm is monitored or not, it is required to be registered.
If you choose to cancel your alarm permit and someone walking down the street calls the police because your alarm is going off - you will be fined if the alarm is deemed false by police attendance
ALL home and business alarm systems in the Central Okanagan must be registered with an annual alarm permit with RDCO.
The False Alarm Reduction Program Alarm Bylaw No. 1382 operated by the Regional District of Central Okanagan on behalf of the Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West Electoral areas and all local governments in the Central Okanagan (City of Kelowna, District of West Kelowna, District of Lake Country, District of Peachland and Westbank First Nation.)
